Patch of Blue's WeDidThis campaign finished on 23rd October 2011, successfully exceeding its £1000 target with 18 donations.
Our production of Godspell was a big hit at the 2011 Edinburgh Fringe, receiving 5* reviews and playing to great audiences. We now want to bring the piece to a wider audience, and we need your help. We were offered a London run for the show but had to turn it down as we didn't have the money- we now want to take the show on a tour of intimate local venues in July 2012 but need cash to fund travel and performance rights.
Our production puts the audience at the centre, seating them on sofas and cushions and inviting them to help tell the stories. Welcoming them are a warm and engergetic cast who all play their own instruments. Funny and moving, exciting and innovative this family-friendly show from Steven Schwartz ('Wicked', 'Children of Eden') has something for everyone. We want as many people to see our work as possible, but we need your help. Your money will go towards the many costs we have to consider, in particular a van, which will take us and our set between our different destinations. We are a not-for-profit company, and entirely self funded- all the money we make goes back into making theatre. Your help would mean the world to us; allow us to continue performing and bringing what we hope is an exciting and uplifting experence to as wide an audience as possible.
